About
Let’s start at the beginning… my name is Robert Dixon and I am a web designer. My passion is for creating versatile websites which work dynamically and allow the user to control the content of what they show in the ever changing environment of the world wide web.
How It All Began…
Back when I was at school studying ICT as an A-level in 2003, my introduction into the world of Interactive Multimedia began. I realised the fascination of creating something usable and interesting on the internet or any other form of medium was where my future lay, having been introduced to the possibilities before me.
Having realised my dream, I began studying Interactive Multimedia at university in Hull wanting to learn more about the medium and discovering for myself what I could get out of it. I began using programs such as Adobe Flash and Adobe Director . However, I began to be drawn more towards the web development side of the course and the possibilities of what can be achieved using PHP to alter how a site's content can be used and seen.
By the end of my time at University I had developed Creative-Media (a user controlled content site) with the idea to allow the user to showcase their own images and websites. Although it was my first outing into dynamically changeable websites, it showed the possibilities for what can be achieved.
Now
So here I am, doing what I enjoy doing, creating websites and having fun as I do them. If you have read to here thank you, but there is a world of websites out there to visit and mine to see so I wont keep you any longer, feel free to take a look around, enjoy.
